HISTORY

Mary’s musical journey began in Bracebridge, Ontario, when a friend overheard her singing bedtime songs to her three young children. That simple, magical moment sparked the creation of a delightful children’s entertainment duo called Jam Sandwich, which led to the release of two children’s albums - "Play On" and "Singin' Along" with Jam Sandwich.

In 1995, Mary moved to Kingston, Ontario, where her solo career truly took flight. Over the years, she released ten additional CDs and two DVDs, sharing her joyful music with families far and wide. A major move in October 2011 brought Mary to Calmar, Alberta—a province she’s grown to love while performing for and connecting with children and families throughout the region. Two new CDs followed before another big move in 2022 to be closer to family—this time to Raymond in Southern Alberta, where Mary now happily calls home.

As a performer and a mother of four, Mary has always delighted in bringing music, imagination, and creativity to kids of all ages through her recordings and live concerts. Her love of performance began early, producing parades, musical theatre numbers, and circus-style events with the children around her in her neighbourhood. That boundless childhood energy still shines today, allowing Mary to remain a kid at heart while creating music and performing for children everywhere.

Mary is a dazzling and dynamic force in the Canadian children’s music scene. Her work has been featured and praised in Canadian Living, Today’s Parent, Resource Links for Canadian Elementary Schools, B.C. Parent, and many other educational and entertainment publications across Canada and the United States.
